EurekaFilaments is 100% Canadian made in Halifax, Nova Scotia. EurekaFilaments began under the umbrella of EurekaTec, founded in 2015 by owner Mohammed Issa. It all started with just one high quality 3D printer, and a goal to bring 3D printing to the community and turn a niche market into something accessible to everyone!
Eurekatec became the first manufacturer of 3D printer filament in Atlantic Canada, and by 2023 the filament portion of Eurekatec had grown to a level that spawned the launch of EurekaFilaments – a dedicated subset of the business focusing solely on 3D printing materials and supplies.
Made using the world best PLA raw material, Ingeo 4043D by Natureworks, and high grade pigments, our filament is premium quality at a competitive price. We use only the best and it shows in our product! Our filament has excellent printability, with good bed adhesion, minimal to no warping or curling, low odor, and the capacity for precision and fine detail. These properties make our PLA well-suited for 3D printing using many different types of printers and for a broad range of printing applications.

Founder & CEO
Mohammed is a highly accomplished individual with extensive technical and business management skills that greatly benefit EurekaFilaments. A graduate of Saint Mary’s University, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team.
In 2019, Mohammed received the Best New Business award from the Sackville Business Association, and he was recognized as the Most Inspiring Immigrant from My East Coast Experience in 2020. These accolades are a testament to his outstanding achievements and exceptional contributions to our company.
Basel Alfarrouh
Head Manufacturer
Basil is head filament manufacturer at Eureka Filaments, responsible for overseeing all aspects of filament production to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing side. With years of experience in the industry, Basil is a seasoned expert in all aspects of filament production, from selecting high-quality raw materials to achieving the perfect colour blend for every batch.
Jessica Korderas
Technician/Designer
Jessica is a highly skilled and experienced technician who joined Eurekatec in August 2021, adding a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team. Her outstanding attention to detail and precision is evident in her work, where she excels at producing high-quality prints with a range of different materials and machines.
Beyond her work at Eureka Filaments, Jessica is a professional sculptor with a specialty in epoxy resin-based works. Her artistic talents and technical skills make her a valuable addition to our team.
